“あげるのは、相手のためを思うんじゃなくて、自分があげたいのだ。
そしてそのことを、もっと自覚するべきだ。
あげたいっていう自分の欲求を満たすためにあげるのだ。
それにはたちの悪いことに、相手が喜んでほしい（喜ぶべきだ）という期待までついてくる。
あげるのは、自分があげるもの（恩恵や特権）をもっているからだ。あげるということはなくてもそれほど自分が困らないからだ。そして自分がもっているものを分け合いたいという気持ちは確かに善意だから、その人の善意・好意は否定されるべきじゃない、と皆おもっている。


でも。


ものをあげるより、問題と向き合い続けることがどれほど難しいか。
向き合い続けるのは、皆ができることじゃない。
だったら、向き合う人を、彼らが自由に使える形で支援すること。（つまりどんなものにも替えられるお金。）
もしくは何かをあげるとき、それが本当に相手の役に立つかを、思い込みや価値観の押しつけじゃなくて真剣に考えること。
ものをあげたい自分の気持ちを、善意だと思い込まないこと。
単純な善意が暴力に変わることがあるってことを、ちゃんと自覚すること。”
